Qualification Details: Trainee assessors will be allocated 2 learners BOC learners in order to completethe course, or they can select their own 2 learners from another training centre..
To complete the course trainee assessors will be required to complete thefollowing 3 mandatory units worth 15 credits:
Unit 1: Understand the principles and practices of assessment
Unit 2: Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Unit 3: Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
All the units within this qualification are vocationally based, directly helping you gain the knowledge, understanding and skills required to undertake assessment of learners’ skills and knowledge.
All learners willattend 4 tutor led workshops and need to complete written assessment tasks via our online learning environment. They will be observed having a discussionwith one of their 2 learners and will be able to assess 2 learners in their workplace.
Completion of this qualification is achieved through a combination of workshops, online learning and experience in the workplace.
This qualification will be assessed online using an e-portfolio of evidence.
To assess knowledge and skills you will need to have occupational knowledge and occupational competence. You will need to be at least 19 years of age.
